second update from Muheza

first day of school was on Tuesday, just after we got new bikes. Freaky, tons of kids following you everywhere. Got a turn signal for my bike which already broke. We have had to take the bikes into get repaired a few times already ! Lots of geckos and big bugs in the house ! The geckos ar fine, but the bugs are nervewracking. one gecko fell off the roof and landed on Griffin's arm and the tail fell off and then ants ate the tail. Lots of ants, bit weird looking bugs and birds.
My mom and dad saw a pied crow and thought it was rare but we saw hundreds after ! My dad wanted to see a certain bird from the bird book but at school I had to do something that involved that bird an it said that a birdwatcher would rarely see it. It is called the "showbill" so we will be lucky if we see it. We are going to a Amani wildlife reserve where we will see lots of birds and camelians. Next weekend we are going to Peponi and when the tide is out, sand islands are created and a boat takes you out to one and you have lunch there and snorkel and then the boat takes you back before the tide comes in!
Thats all I can think of right now. I will try to post more often but it is hard to get internet access. Thanks, Sy

Hi Sy,
Are you tearing up the roads on your bike? Is it really old and that's why it keeps falling apart? Sounds pretty amazing where you are and I love the stories. Are you and Griff in the same classroom? How many kids in your class? Do you have your own desk? What about books? Can you describe what it looks like in and around the school? Oh yeah and when the kids are following you around are they touching your skin. I know when we were in Asia that they did that alot to Jasper. It's kind of friendly but kind of unusual for us too. Well time to go - hugs to you!!

Hello Simon,

Jasper is here and is hoping you are having fun and see that showbill bird (my mom thinks its called a snowbill). Are you reading the language yet? do you have a tan? have you seen any cool bugs or geckos? How is school, i have been in school for about a month now. Terry Fox was fun but i was organizing it so it was ok i guess. i just got back from a leadership camp and had lots of fun.
